Stoma Paste is used to fill or caulk uneven skin contours to create a flatter surface. It can help to prevent drainage from getting under the ostomy skin barrier. It may help extend the wear time of the skin barrier.

1. Is it necessary to use paste for BAO’s pouch?

Ans. Paste can fulfill the wrinkle space surround the stoma, prevent the moisture or liquid goes out from the wrinkle and cause leakage at last. Cureguard could fulfill the small wrinkles by itself, so most cases don’t need to use paste, and have very good anti-leakage effect. If there is serious winkle or the skin surface not flat, please use paste to help to fulfill the leakage space. Most brands paste could be used together with the Cureguard. E.g. Wrinkle need to use paste.
